Senior Software Development Engineer (individual contributors and leads)

Location : Paris, France

VirtuOz (www.virtuoz.com) is looking for experienced software development engineers and hands-on (coding) team leads. You will be part of a team building a state-of-the-art Conversational Agent service that needs to handle millions of conversations per day for our customers.

You will be responsible for all the aspects of the development cycle including design, development, and quality. You will be shipping high-quality software on a bi-monthly release schedule.

Our offices are centrally located in Paris, France. We offer an awesome work environment and an attractive compensation package.

Requirements:

  • Extremely strong object-oriented programming skills in C#, or C++.
  •  
  • Extremely strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills.
  •  
  • At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping complex software.
  •  
  • A blend of technology background, customer focus, and passion for quality.
  •  
  • Ability to work with large and complex code bases.
  •  
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  •  
  • A university computer science degree (or equivalent).

Would be a plus:

  • Good knowledge of at least one of: ASP.NET, Javascript, SOAP, REST, machine learning, NLP, databases, data mining, A/B testing, performance tuning, scalable systems.
  •  
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and TDD.
  •  
  • Post-graduate degree in computer science (or equivalent).
